ps4 games strategy war
[Article Body]
Alright, so you young folks wanna know ’bout them PS4 strategy war games, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, I ain’t no fancy gamer girl, but I’ve seen my share of things on that there TV screen. My grandkids, they play all sorts of stuff, and sometimes I sit and watch, ya know? So, I’ll tell ya what I know, best as I can.
First off, there’s this game, somethin’ about a prison? Yeah, Prison Architect, they call it. Sounds kinda crazy, buildin’ a prison and all. But them kids, they spend hours on it. Plannin’ stuff, makin’ sure them prisoners don’t escape. It’s like a puzzle, gotta think ahead, you know? Real strategic, I guess.
Then there’s all them war games. Lots of shootin’ and blowin’ things up. One they like is Call of Duty: WWII. Now, that one’s rough. It’s like bein’ in them old war movies, but you’re the one doin’ the fightin’. Gotta be smart, though, can’t just run around like a chicken with its head cut off. Gotta plan your attacks, use cover, all that jazz.
- Wolfenstein, that’s another one. Fightin’ them Nazis, I think. Lots of guns and explosions. Kids seem to like it.
- And there’s this Valkyria game, somethin’ Chronicles. Looks kinda like a cartoon, but it’s still about war. More thinkin’ involved, from what I see.
Now, there’s this other game, Foxhole. That one’s somethin’ else. It’s like a big ol’ war, with lots of people playin’ together. You gotta work as a team, build stuff, fight the other team. Takes a lot of coordinatin’, that’s for sure. Reminds me of them old barn raisin’s, everyone pitchin’ in to get somethin’ done. But ‘stead of a barn, you’re buildin’ defenses and weapons.

I heard tell there ain’t a whole lot of strategy games on the PS4, not like on them computers. Some folks say it’s a shame. But there’s still a few good ones, you just gotta look around. They talked about some games like Grand Ages: Medieval, with lots of menus and thinkin’, but I ain’t seen that one myself.
Them kids also mentioned some other names, Crusader Kings, XCOM, Civilization… Sounded complicated to me. All about buildin’ empires and managin’ resources and stuff. Guess that’s strategy too, just a different kind. Not so much shootin’, more plannin’ and thinkin’. Like playin’ chess, but on a much bigger scale.
Company of Heroes, they said, and Command and Conquer. More war games, seems like there’s a lot of those. But these ones are different, they say. More about controllin’ squads of soldiers, not just one guy. Gotta think about formations and tactics and all that. It’s like bein’ a general, I reckon, tellin’ your troops what to do.
And then, believe it or not, they even say them sports games, like PES and FIFA, they’re strategy games too. I guess it makes sense, you gotta plan your plays, figure out how to beat the other team. It ain’t just about kickin’ the ball, it’s about thinkin’ ahead, outsmartin’ your opponent.
So, there you have it. That’s what I know about strategy war games on the PS4. Maybe it ain’t much, but it’s honest. And from what I’ve seen, them games can be pretty darn fun, even for an old lady like me. Well, fun to watch, anyways. All that button mashin’ and quick thinkin’, it’s too much for my old hands. But I can appreciate a good plan when I see one, whether it’s buildin’ a prison, fightin’ a war, or just kickin’ a ball around.
One last thing, seems like if you want real fancy strategy stuff, you need one of them Xbox things, or a computer. But these PS4 games, they’ll keep ya busy for a while, that’s for sure.
