good strategy games for android free

Alright, listen up, y’all! I’m gonna tell ya ’bout some games on that there Android thingamajig, the kind that make ya think, not just tap-tap-tap like a chicken peckin’ corn.

First off, there’s this game, “Battle of Polytopia”. It ain’t fancy, mind you, but it’s fun. You get to build up your own little kingdom, fightin’ off other folks and explorin’ the land. Simple as pie, even this old lady can figure it out. And the best part? It’s free! Well, mostly. You can buy some extra stuff if you’re feelin’ fancy, but you don’t gotta. My grandson, that whippersnapper, he plays it all the time, and he ain’t spent a dime.

Then there’s another one, “Bloons TD 6”. Now, this one’s about monkeys and balloons. Sounds silly, I know, but it’s addictive as all get-out. You gotta place your monkeys just right to pop all them balloons before they get through. Keeps your brain busy, that’s for sure. And it’s got more monkeys than a barrel full, each one with its own special way of poppin’ balloons.

Too much thinkin’ for me, to be honest, but the young ‘uns seem to like it.

Another one that them youngsters are always jabberin’ about is “Hoplite”. Now, this one is different. It’s all about movin’ around on a little grid, fightin’ them beasties and thinkin’ ahead. Reminds me of checkers, kinda, but with swords and monsters. It’s one of them games that makes you say “just one more time” even though it’s past your bedtime.

Let’s not forget about some of them bigger games, the kind that make your phone heat up like a stove in winter. “ROME: Total War”, that’s a big one. You get to be a Roman general, buildin’ armies and conquerin’ lands. It’s like playin’ with toy soldiers, but way fancier. And then there’s “Civilization 6”. That one’s about buildin’ a whole darn civilization from the ground up. Takes a long time, but it’s mighty satisfyin’ seein’ your little people grow and prosper. These ones are real time-suckers, though, so be warned!

If you ain’t got a lot of time, there are some quicker games too. “Into the Breach” is a good one. You gotta defend cities from giant bugs, and it’s all about thinkin’ tactically. And then there’s “Tyrant’s Blessing” and “Crying Suns”. I ain’t played them myself, but the kids say they’re good for a quick thinkin’ session. And “Rebel Inc.”, that’s one about stabilizin’ a country after a war. Sounds complicated, but it ain’t too bad once you get the hang of it. Even this old lady can understand it, mostly.

Oh, and I almost forgot! There’s this game called “Rusted Warfare”. It’s like them old-fashioned strategy games, the kind with tanks and planes and all that. Good for folks who like blowin’ stuff up, I reckon. And if you like them chess-like games, there’s “Auto Chess”. You gotta buy and combine heroes to fight other players. Lots of different ways to win, so it keeps you on your toes.
