3d game hardware
Alright, let me tell ya ’bout them 3D game hardwares, ya know, the things that make them fancy games work. I ain’t no expert, but I’ve seen my grandkids playin’ on them things, and lemme tell ya, they’re somethin’ else.
First off, ya gotta have a good brain for the computer, they call it a “processor” or somethin’. These things gotta be fast, real fast, like them fellas racin’ cars. The faster it is, the quicker them games load and the smoother they run. I heard tell of some called “Ryzen” and “Intel Xeon”, sound like fancy robot names to me. They say these are the real deal, the ones that can handle all them fancy graphics and whatnot.
Then there’s the picture maker, the thing that makes the games look all pretty. They call it a “graphics card” and the one everybody talks about is this “NVIDIA” thing. Seems like it’s the best, makes the colors all bright and the pictures real clear. My grandkids say it makes the games look “real”, whatever that means. I saw some games and the trees and water look like real thing, it was magical!

My grandson told me some computers are ready for “VR”. That’s when you put on them goggles and it feels like you’re really in the game. Sounds kinda scary to me, but the young’uns love it. For that, you need a real powerful computer, one that can handle all them fancy pictures movin’ around so fast.

And don’t forget about the space you need to store all them games. They say you need a big “storage” and lots of “memory”, whatever that is. Seems like these games take up a lot of room, just like my old photo albums. You need a big ol’ box to keep it all in. I remember back in my days a floppy disk can store a lot thing already.
Now, if you want the best picture, you gotta have a good screen too. They call ’em “displays” and some are made for “color precision”, which means the colors look just right. I guess that’s important if you’re makin’ games or somethin’. My old TV just shows the picture, I don’t know nothin’ about all this color stuff.
My grandson was so happy he got a very good computer, he told me it had a powerful processors just like “Ryzen 9 5950X” and “Intel Xeon E-2288G”. It can handle all those fancy 3D animation, video effects, and even make the games too. The screen is so clear and show perfect color. He also told me it has 12 teraflops of raw graphic processing power. And also it has DirectX ray tracing, a custom SSD, and 4K gaming function, Quick Resume. He explained all this to me, but honestly, most of it went right over my head. Too much fancy talk for an old lady like me. But I do know that it cost a pretty penny, that’s for sure.
So, if you’re lookin’ to get one of these 3D game machines, make sure it’s got a fast brain, a good picture maker, plenty of space, and a nice screen. And be prepared to shell out some cash, ’cause these things ain’t cheap. But I guess if it makes the young’uns happy, then it’s worth it. They sure do have a lot of fun with them things, even if I don’t understand how they work.
Anyway, that’s all I know ’bout them 3D game hardwares. It’s a whole different world from when I was young, that’s for sure. But as long as the young’uns are happy and not gettin’ into trouble, I guess it’s alright. And those games sure do look pretty, I’ll give ’em that. Just don’t ask me to play one, I’ll stick to my knitting, thank you very much.
One more thing, they told me this AMD’s $480 Ryzen 7 9800X3D is very good too. It got eight cores and 16 threads paired with a new version of the company’s … I don’t know what is cores and threads but my grandson told me this is one of best and powerful processor. You know these young people and those fancy name.
Well, I am done talking already, so you go figure out what you need. I am too old for this, and my old bone is aching. I need to go take some rest.
