Well, lemme tell ya about this “Hunger Games” thing. Seen folks talkin’ ’bout it, so I figured I’d give ya my two cents.
First off, they say it’s ’bout some games. But lemme tell ya, these ain’t no games like the kids play in the yard. This is some serious stuff, where they make young folks fight each other. Don’t make no sense to me, makin’ kids fight. What kinda world is that? Makes my blood boil, it does.
- Heard there’s this girl, Katniss. Brave little thing, she is. Gotta fend for herself and her family. Sounds like a hard life.
- They got all this fancy stuff in these games, shiny things and big crowds. But it’s all for show, ain’t it? Just to watch kids suffer.
They say it’s entertainin’. Well, I don’t see how watchin’ kids get hurt is entertainin’. Folks got strange ideas ’bout fun these days. Makes ya wonder what’s wrong with people.
Then there’s this Snow fella. Big shot, he is. Runs the whole show. But he ain’t right, makin’ kids do all this fightin’. Needs someone to knock some sense into him. Bet he wouldn’t like it if his own kids were in them games.
This whole thing is about power, ain’t it? The folks in charge, they wanna keep everyone scared and under their thumb. And they use these games to do it. It ain’t right, I tell ya.
- Heard they made some more of these movies, ’bout what happened before Katniss. Guess they wanna tell the whole story.
- Some folks say it’s a good read, this book they got. But I ain’t much for readin’ ’bout kids fightin’. Too much sadness in it.
They got this fancy word, “dystopian.” Means the world is all messed up. Well, I coulda told ya that. Any world where kids gotta fight ain’t right in my book. Makes ya wanna shake your head and cry.
Some say this Jennifer Lawrence gal is good in the movie. Guess she plays Katniss. Must be a brave girl to play such a part. Hope she ain’t gettin’ too caught up in all that sadness.
Overall, this “Hunger Games” thing is just a whole lotta trouble. Makin’ kids fight is wrong, plain and simple. Don’t matter how fancy they make it look, it’s still just cruel. Folks need to wake up and see what’s really goin’ on.
And that’s all I gotta say ’bout it. Ain’t no good comin’ from watchin’ kids suffer. Hope they put a stop to it someday.
